When Bob was 14 he phoned his idol, Mel Blanc, at home. How did Bob get Mel's phone number?? It was in the phone book under his wife's name. Through some investigative questioning, Bob found out from Blanc that he was recording a project for Warner Bros. that very week. Bob skipped school that Thursday and he and his Mother crashed that recording session to watch Mel Blanc in action. At the end of the session Bob was in heaven as Mel handed him this autograph!!
